SAT (Satisfying All Truths)

My thoughts are too much! While on the way to work this morning a question popped into my head. If God gave a survey to believers and nonbelievers alike how would we check the box for relationship status? There is a box for single, married, divorced, and open.

Illusions of Grandeur

I was asked by a close friend what I thought about people who hold relationships hostage by using Twitter as a social network. Forget TV Twitter is the free way of changing the channel of so many thoughts without leaving yourself. It is amazing to see how many people can be hard on the internet without moving a muscle. Social networks have become just that, channels of thought for those who cannot think for themselves!

State Of The Union

We as a Black community are not in a recession! Again we are not in a recession! Who can honestly say that there are African- American’s that are feeling the financial crunch that supposedly has a stronghold on the nation today. I see people say jobs are being lost, money is being squandered, and hopes and dreams are being dashed. Truth is as a community we have never learned to save, invest, or market how to make more money.

Ur 2 ¢, my 98 ¢ Of Change...

All the two cents in the world doesn’t amount to change if no one reaches out to collect the positive thoughts to make helping dollars instead of nonsense! Everyone has a voice of opinion, but when mistakes are made, or people throw themselves under the bus, compassion get’s the Rosa Parks treatment and has to move to the back of the bus!

Rein- Statement

There are many times when sports imitates life! The young man in the above video made a mistake of rage in an effort to express himself. Whether provoked or not is not the question! Right or wrong is not the question! The question of the hour is that public opinion of what was seen, and the ramifications of the perception that was captured in the snapshot of a moment in time that stood still.

FEAR

When we look out at what we see, negativity is all we come to grips with! Fear comes across us like a swarm of bees, stinging and leaving us in fear of what can be. Am I allergic, will the bee sting make me blow up? You know I got tha suga, their stings might kill me?  A world of pain comes over as big as Goliath when we see it coming. Fear is just a fog! Do you ever really know how big it is until you really see it?

God... Do you care?

Society never seems to report the good news anymore. When you look at CNN, ABC, and 60 minutes there are no more feel good stories of bravery in the world. There are no images of hope, just despair, calamity, and confusion in the midst of spiritual guerrilla warfare.

LOEWS (My Life Your Entertainment)

Every morning when we wake up we have the choice of how we would like to start the day. A free will of daily order of operations so to speak! Do we want to add to our lives by praying to start our day? Are we going to subtract off the plaque of the previous day’s cavities with worry and doubt?

God can't be your Man?

God represents every thought we have in our hearts. He re educates your life from the interior design to the landscaping of your exterior world. We are blessed to a Lot where we are provided the space (memory) to believe in his Will and Grace.

Choices

Mistakes are made, people are provoked. Everyday we make choices to choke our dreams or clear our throat of some hope that is hanging by a string.

Hot? Cold? Or Lukewarm?

Many of us have relationships that are hitting on something. Some are stuck in a stagnant situation and we choose to stay apart of them. Or we choose to stray a part of them!

Pocket Conversations

Everyday I look at my Bible, blogs, websites, etc. that tickle the fancy that drive my thoughts for the day. We all live in a world where we belong to some pocket of the trapper keeper of daily news. We all give in to the RSS feeds, email and news ticker of other people’s business, and we become the blog site whoeverweclaimtobe.com and we spread the wildfire news of someone else!

Confessions of a Man

I don’t usually speak out against myself but I will today, I know I am a Christian; I have a voice and a whole lot to say. Nobody will ever understand that I am a man from an ill seed. I need to treat the world right but it created a seed inside of me. It grew to be something ugly and pales in comparison to what you see. I’m not who you think I am its just a snapshot of which way he turned me.

Outside the Box?

Sometimes when you think outside the box the ones around you inside the box of life don’t want to entertain what you have to say. Well I agree with you, what I say is not for your entertainment it is to get your mind to wake up and seek, and search your heart in a way you never thought about before you read what is on your screen.

Family Ties

Foolish people cannot avoid strife by themselves they always need a palm and a pilot for directions! What a true statement! When I look out into the world I always see the fallacy in life that are the leeches that hold onto your roots in life.

For those who say hip-hop is alive and thriving are lying to those loyal fans from the inside out. Many people inside the industry say that the landscape of hip-hop is better than it has ever been. I beg to differ! What has changed is how many people have their hands in the cookie jar of the next up and coming star. Can we market his look?

BS Proof?

After listening to Raheem Devaughn's song Bulletproof it made me realize that as black people in the nation we are always dodging bullets of oppression, needles of despair, in the thick air of an unstable economic climate.
We live in a toxic waste dump of sex on TV, crimes being played out like rated R movies on daytime TV, and political figures holding the public as political prisoners. As African Americans we pride ourselves on being able to see snakes in the grass, but we got so dayum lazy we don't even cut the grass no more!

Always looking to other things to raise our kids, and we cant even raise out the bed on time to get to work, the news telling our life stories, cause most of the time we are the news. I know every time I look I try to make it seem that I am bs proof. That I cant be fooled to follow, and Im the main person on twitter following, on fb following the very things I complain about.

People always say they can spot the truth, how is that a reality if if we cant tell the real housewives from our real housewife, or did we wife swap, to get that image of what a woman should looked like, so we can swap the wife for a concubine, one that's fine and didn't age like wine with time! The man has loaded, cocked, aimed and shot us full of the disease of following the wrong things. Shot us with small time dreams, miracles of things never to be, we instead blame our own people, the truth is our own people, disowned us a long time ago,

When the word nigger can be used against nigga to mean to different things lets me know, we learned the word on the street brought it home, and we never learned to let it go. We living life like we bs proof, but the vest is on our chest, I wear my heart on my sleeve, and the bullets are now in my head put to rest. Rest assured Im getting my mind right to fight the pain of the hot lead that burns down through my chest.

Mind to Work

We must have a mind to work if we want to get somewhere we have not been. The inability to learn how to cooperate with change will allow u to stay stagnant in movement and let us accelerate towards being mediocre.

We are married! Yes I said it we are married! Was their ceremony, in our minds yes? Marriage is a state of mind. In many a relationship people feel they are married before they actually get a ring, say I do, move in together to save on the rent, etc. At this point we fail to realize we are single entities trying to conform to a bond that doesn’t equate. All these things put my mind into one perspective. We are all married to our own traditions and ideas of how we want things to be. Parent’s ideas, ideals, friends who are or are not married play big roles not only in these relationships, but those as friends because that is a marriage as well. Ladies why do you think some of your so-called home girls fall off when you get engaged into another situation? Men why do you think your so-called boys clown you when you can’t watch the games anymore, play Madden anymore? It is because we are engaged into another activity that broke that marriage!
Every time we have something go our way, we have just said I do to the idea of something that we wanted for ourselves. Often times we are married to our job, because it provides, but we forget that God provided the job for the means, not to slave yourself to get married to the new Lexus you just bought. Married to the idea that if you work hard enough people will notice you. Heck people noticed you were working hard because they married your toil with the spoil.
Marriage is a sacred thing. So sacred that many people stay married to themselves far to long! Oh I’m sorry I just stepped on some toes. That marriage is what I call a single person, who says men are dogs or that women are scandalous. You are single because you are married to the idea that you can live the single life as long as you want and transfer that lifestyle to another person. Be with that person and still lead the same life! Not possible if you are forming a common bond, oil and water don’t mix! Take a closer look you are talking about yourself!!!! You’re married to the thought and fear of finding the right person and not being able to handle what they bring to the table. Wake up people; we are all married to something! The question is can you admit you are married to the wrong things, ideas, guilty pleasures? If you want to be married to the one who birthed you, you have to be married to the sacred idea that sin is bound up inside of us, and lose the foolishness of a child, and learn to have a childlike mentality! Don’t sweat the techniques of how to be married! We have been in many a committed relationship all our lives we just didn’t know what to call it!
